Social preview cache refresh
After updating Open Graph images, titles, or descriptions, social platforms often keep showing the old version from their cache. Use each platform’s link debugger below to force a re-scrape.
Open
X / Twitter
Enter the URL and hit "Preview card" to clear the Twitter Card cache.
Requires a logged-in X developer account.
Inspect the URL, then click the refresh option to re-fetch Open Graph data.
LinkedIn caches aggressively; use a query-string cache buster if a change is still not reflected.
Validate the URL to refresh Rich Pin metadata.
Less critical for an electrical contractor, but useful for resource articles.
Google Search (optional)
Request re-indexing after publishing new OG images or titles.
Search Console does not control social previews, but it speeds up SERP updates.
Quick workflow
- Publish the site and confirm the new asset is live at its canonical URL.
- Open each debugger above and paste the full page URL (e.g.,
https://acdelray.com/). - Click the refresh / scrape / inspect button and wait for the preview to update.
- If the old image still appears, append a cache-busting query string (e.g.,
?v=2) to the image URL in the markup, then re-scrape. - For pages that share an OG image (like our brand fallback
/og-image.jpg), refreshing the home page will refresh the image cache for every page that uses it.
