How we work
Work is installed to the National Electrical Code edition adopted by the Florida Building Code. Where a permit is required, we pull it — city addresses through the City of Delray Beach Building Division, which also requires the electrician to be registered with the city, and unincorporated addresses through Palm Beach County Planning, Zoning & Building — and we meet the inspector.
You get the cause explained in plain language, an estimate in writing, and a clear statement of what is urgent versus what can be scheduled. We don't publish flat prices for diagnostic work because the honest number depends on what is actually wrong.

Most people call us describing a symptom, not a service category. Here is how the common ones usually sort out — though the only honest way to know is to test it.
Usually an overloaded circuit, a failing motor or appliance, a damaged cable, or a breaker that has aged out. When the circuit in question feeds the air conditioner, the cause can sit on either side of the AC/electrical line — we cover that specific case in detail in why an AC breaker keeps tripping. Otherwise start with electrical repairs and troubleshooting.
A full load center, a panel brand with a documented defect history that your insurer asks about, or a 100-amp service that cannot carry a new AC system, EV charger, or generator all point to an electrical panel upgrade, sized from a real load calculation rather than a guess.
Common in the 1950s and 1960s housing stock west of Swinton and in mid-century homes near the beach. Sometimes the answer is targeted remediation, sometimes it is a staged rewire — see house rewiring and new circuits. If you are buying the house or your insurer is asking questions, start with an electrical safety inspection instead.
An EV charger or a standby generator both start with the same question: what does the existing service actually have left? That load calculation is the difference between an install that passes inspection and one that gets corrected twice.

A burning smell at a device or panel, visible arcing or sparking, a panel or breaker that is hot to the touch, scorched cover plates, or losing power to part of the house after a storm all belong in the second group. If it is safe to reach the panel, switch off the affected circuit and leave it off. If there is smoke, call the fire department first. Our shop is in Delray Beach and we work throughout Palm Beach County, Florida and Broward County, Florida. Day to day that means downtown Delray and the Atlantic Avenue corridor, Lake Ida, Tropic Isle, Del-Aire, Seagate and the beach blocks east of Federal Highway, the older neighborhoods west of Swinton, and the communities along Military Trail and Congress Avenue.
North of us we cover Boynton Beach — Chapel Hill, Leisureville, Hunters Run, and the Woolbright and Boynton Beach Boulevard corridors. South of us we cover Boca Raton, including Boca Del Mar, Broken Sound, Boca Bath & Tennis, and the Glades Road and Yamato Road corridors.
