Boynton Beach is a short run north of our Delray shop, and the electrical work there has its own character. The city grew fastest through the 1970s and 1990s, so a large share of what we open up is equipment from that era: load centers that are full or no longer supported, aluminum branch-circuit terminations that need correcting, and services sized before central air, pool equipment, and a second refrigerator were standard.
The other half of the picture is community housing. Sizeable 55+ communities, villas, and HOA-governed single-family subdivisions dominate large sections of the city, and in those neighborhoods a project rarely starts with a permit — it starts with architectural committee approval for anything visible from the street. A number of homes here are also seasonal, occupied for only part of the year, which brings its own set of problems when equipment that has sat idle gets switched back on.
